Just finished reading.... and oh my god it was an awesome read!!!!

Ok people you can bear literary witness to the fact that it is 01:12 (in Italy) and I have only just finished reading Unhinged by A.G.Howard, sequel to Splintered . And this was me when I got to the end:

 photo cipollino21.gif

(ok so maybe I wasn't quite in tears, but the amazingness of this book got me close to them!!!)

All I can say was that it was totally awesome!!! I'm still mind boggled!!! I absolutely loved it!!!
Now here comes the tricky part! I actually have to coherently word the awesomeness of this book, so that it is leggible to others, without frightening them that I have lost my sanity like the characters themselves :p An easy task? Ha! I think not! But I shall rise to the challenge... or try to atleast :p

Stay tuned for the review!

The living room is no more.....

When I relaunched my blog I decided very firmly that this was also going to be a space for me to rave and rant and generally put up book random related info :p

Well I was sat happily reading my copy of Sawbones by Catherine Johnson curled up on the leather sofa in my grandma's living room. I was then shortly joined by my french cousin who came in bearing a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey. And to be honest I think I could have developed a second head for all she noticed. You have to admit, regardless of your opinion, it is somewhat of a gripping read. So there we are. Both curled up and reading away. Very happily I might add.
Not long after my other french cousin joins us taking up a spot in the armchair, reading a copy of a historical french novel of war, love, murder and intrigue. So let us count together. We have 3 readers, all reading different types of books. Now my mother joins us with her trusty kindle, reading her Lawrence of Arabia biography. The sofa by this point is full and there is only one armchair.
I would also like to add that save for my grandma and my uncle, that is the entirety of the household.
The whole situation was quite comical, and we probably would have all been laughing had we not had better things to do. Like read.
Bless him my poor uncle came in and thought he'd switch on the TV even before checking if he could sit or whether he was disturbing anyone.
I swear that the 4 sets of evils that the poor man got was palpable!!!! Never saw someone leave that fast a room of geeks!!!! hahahahahahahah!!!!

Let the reading resume!!!!!

Readers Rule!!!!!

Return of The Library Mouse

Dear Everyone,

it has been a while since my blog has been up and running, and even longer since my heart has been completely into blogging, reading and reviewing as it once was. The unfortunate truth is is that life threw me one curve ball to many, I couldn't juggle them all and something had to give and unfortunately it was this. However the blogger and book lover within would not completely go repressed and so I have been reviewing, in a much lesser fashion, for Big Book Little Book over the last few months.

I would like to send out a humungous thank you to all the blogging community, publishers, authors and all you lovely viewers for being so supportive. A special thank you goes to Caz from Big Book Little Book for putting up with me almost every day in either real life or the digital one :p, to Kerrie from Read And Repeat for being so supportive and understanding and recommending me reads that would pull me up and just generally putting up with my ranting, to Faye from DayDreamersThoughts for putting up with my random outbursts and what's app moments and for being there every time patiently listening and then joining in on the madness of the situation. I could not have asked for better friends, book lovers and bloggers. I am a very lucky bookworm.

I finally feel that I have solved enough problems and chucked a few of the balls that I was juggling that I am now ready to come back properly. So I come to you all with a fresh start and..... a bit of a change in blog too...... Ta Daaaaaaaaaa!!! I did a mini re-vamp!!! I figured new life, new blog and soon new year!!! So what do you guys think? Do you like it?
But that's not where it ends. When I first started I got so carried away with the reading and reviewing that I forgot myself a little along the way and lost that pleasure of just enjoying a good book for the sake of it, and sharing all book facts not just the upcoming new releases. So I have made a few changes as to what will be posted here. Books will continued to be read and reviewed (recent, upcoming and old) but there will be more. All book related thoughts, as random as they may be, will be posted. So if I do something very stupid book related odds are you are going to here about it. And also to keep up with modern times, and to have a little fun with the girls, I am going to start doing Vlogs too! And with this, I am sure, will come a lot of embarrassing moments for me which will hopefully make you laugh if anything :)
Essentially this will no longer be just a pure book reviewing business blog, it's going to become more like book blogger's diary and a hell of a lot more fun!!!

And for those of you who don't look like this  photo cipollino4.gif
and haven't fallen asleep reading this and are still going here's a reward. I'm celebrating my return back to blogging by having a giveaway!!!! So watch this space because it'll be coming pretty soon ^_^

Thank you again everyone!!

Look forward to blogging with you

"Elizabeth has a new job at an unusual library - a lending library of objects, not books. In a secret room in the basement lies the Grimm Collection. That's where the librarians lock away powerful items straight out of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales; seven-league boots, a table that produces a feast at the blink of an eye, Snow White's stepmother's sinister mirror that talks in riddles.

When the magical objects start to disappear, Elizabeth embarks on a dangerous quest to catch the thief before she can be accused of the crime or captured by the thief.

Polly Shulman has created a contemporary fantasy with a fascinating setting and premise, starring an ordinary girl whose after-school job is far from ordinary and leads to a world of excitement, romance and magical intrigue"

"A sensational YA science fiction debut from an exciting new British author. Jarra is stuck on Earth while the rest of humanity portals around the universe. But can she prove to the norms that she’s more than just an Earth Girl?

2788. Only the handicapped live on Earth. While everyone else portals between worlds, 18-year-old Jarra is among the one in a thousand people born with an immune system that cannot survive on other planets. Sent to Earth at birth to save her life, she has been abandoned by her parents. She can’t travel to other worlds, but she can watch their vids, and she knows all the jokes they make. She’s an ‘ape’, a ‘throwback’, but this is one ape girl who won’t give in.

Jarra invents a fake background for herself – as a normal child of Military parents – and joins a class of norms that is on Earth to excavate the ruins of the old cities. When an ancient skyscraper collapses, burying another research team, Jarra’s role in their rescue puts her in the spotlight. No hiding at back of class now. To make life more complicated, she finds herself falling in love with one of her classmates – a norm from another planet. Somehow, she has to keep the deception going.

A freak solar storm strikes the atmosphere, and the class is ordered to portal off-world for safety – no problem for a real child of military parents, but fatal for Jarra. The storm is so bad that the crews of the orbiting solar arrays have to escape to planet below: the first landing from space in 600 years. And one is on collision course with their shelter"

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me--my freshman year of college. I had been hoping that once I had arrived on Crestwood's campus, the nightmare that I've been having would go away. It hasn't.

I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I'm grounded...sane. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he is near, I feel an attraction to him--a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you're thinking...that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would--if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I'm the worst thing that's ever happened to Crestwood...or him. But, get this, for some reason every time I turn around he's there, barging into my life.

What is the secret he is keeping from me? I'm hoping that it is anything but what I expect: that he is not exactly normal...and neither am I. So maybe Crestwood won't be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I have been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is...inescapable

Slowing things down

 photo Slowdownreading_zps8fc189af.jpg

Dear Readers,

sadly I have some sad news to report to you all but with a bit of luck it will have a happy ending in the long run.
I have now been blogging for over a year. When I first started I aimed to post 2 to 3 times a week. Blogging has been an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to which I have met wonderful new books and their authors, lovely publishers and have made great new friends and memories. All this and so much more has meant more to me than I can begin to explain, and books and everyone's support has got me through some pretty rough times.
For the past few months now I have been battling with some difficult issues ranging from health, to family and relationships. Despite my best efforts things have been slowly slipping out my control had to my regret they have been affecting my ability to read and review with the regularity I so wish to provide.

Me earlier this year ---->   photo cipollino3.gif  Me now ------>   photo cipollino6.gif

I have done my best to keep them in check and to continue reading and reviewing with regularity but they have persisted demanding my complete attention and I can no longer go on ignoring them. So unfortunately for a while now I will no longer be posting with any regularity. All review books that have been posted and given to me will be reviewed but I can no longer make any guarantees for as to when. I will still be accepting and requesting review copies but with a much lighter load in mind. To help me through this difficult period the lovely people at Big Book Little Book have very kindly offered me a place on their team. Any reviews I write for them will be linked to them from my blog.

A big thank you to everyone for being so wonderful and understanding! I look forward to many more books and to putting this period behind me and getting back on track with the awesomeness that is reading and blogging!!!

"1,135,789. That’s how many subscribers sixteen-year-old West Ryder has on his web vlog series. But he only has eyes for one of them.

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. But the highlight of the whole thing is Harper Knight, who comments every day at exactly 2:02 in the afternoon. He doesn’t know anything about her aside from the occasional deep philosophical messaging on why pizza tastes so delicious, but as stupid as it sounds, he might be falling for her. So when they finally agree to meet in real life, West’s hope for romance seems more and more in reach. But that all changes as soon as he arrives at their meeting spot and sees Cat walking toward him, wearing the same “I <3 Sam Green” T-shirt Harper promised she'd have on.

To his alarm, West realizes he is falling in love with the best friend who has always been a sister to him"

"Hockey-obsessed tomboy Eleanor Westley has never been the object of a guy's affection before. The more Ellie gets to know Seth the more she's convinced he's a psychopathic killer. Problem is, he's the sweetest psychopathic killer she's ever met. Not to mention he's brutally hot. No matter how hard she tries, she can't help but fall for him. Will Ellie find true love, or will her summer of firsts turn out to be a summer of lasts?"

You can't in all honesty tell me you aren't even slightly intrigued by this serial hottie :p

"Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.

Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.

While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders"

What can I say every once in a while I get an itch for a princessy story so when I got recommended this sweet read and then found out it was a bargain I just had to share the news!
